Anti-virus and endpoint protection

Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection: MacOS

These instructions are provided for self-managed computers and will require administrator access to complete. They are not for computers supported by Desktop Support Services.

Note: Your computer will require a restart to complete the uninstall process for Symantec Endpoint Protection. Ensure all open documents have been saved before beginning the uninstall process.

1. Open Symantec Endpoint Protection by opening the Applications folder, then open Symantec Solutions folder and finally double click the Symantec Endpoint Protection icon.

2. Click the Symantec Endpoint Protection menu (upper left corner of your screen) and select “Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection.”

3. Click the Uninstall button to continue.

4. Enter the username and password of an administrator account on your computer. Once done, click the Install Helper button to continue.

5. When the uninstall has completed, click the Restart Now button to restart your computer.

Symantec Endpoint Protection has now been removed from your computer.
