Equipment rentals: projectors

Video data projects (large presentations, 5000 to 8000 Lumens): We have VDPs that are suitable for small and large rooms available to rent. Our VDP kits include a carrying bag, the projector, power cable, VGA cable, audio stereo cable, RCA cable, and a remote control.

Start by unpacking the projector and setting it up on a surface such as a table, desk, or trolley. Next connect the VGA cable into the computer one input and plug in the power cable. Attach the other end of the VGA cable to your laptop and turn the projector on my holding the on button for at least five seconds. The projector fans will turn on and the status lights will change as the unit warms up which can take several minutes. Take this time to adjust the legs so the image fits the screen. Use the zoom and focus rings on the lens to size and sharpen the image (some VDP models need to be adjusted using the remote). Next press the source button to navigate to the computer one input or another input if that is what you would like to use. Finally turn on your laptop and your image will soon appear. PC laptops may have to be togged to connect to a projector and Mac computers will need the appropriate dongle adaptor. Please turn off the projector when you are finished.

16mm projector: The Hokushin 16mm Film Projector has optical sound, bass & treble controls and a speaker out (phone jack). It comes with a take-up reel and a spare bulb (ELC).
