MATLAB

MATLAB, the language of technical computing, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain dynamic and embedded systems. MathWorks produces nearly 100 additional products for specialized tasks such as data analysis and image processing.

What is the cost?

The Faculty of Engineering coordinates three license agreements with MathWorks on behalf of the UVic community that enable access to MATLAB, Simulink, and many toolboxes by faculty, staff, and students for teaching, research, learning and support thereof.  Students may also install MATLAB on their personal computers at no cost.  Access is limited to current UVic students, both undergraduate and graduate.
