Azure Dev Tools for Teaching activation instructions

  1. In a web browser, navigate to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/free/students/ and select Activate now

  2. When asked to sign in, you must use a personal, non-UVic email address
  3. Once authenticated, complete an MFA requirement by SMS or telephoneScreenshot of multi-factor authentication options for the azure dev tools for teaching account
  4. After completing the MFA requirement, you will be asked to verify your school by entering your UVic email address

  5. An email will be sent to your UVic email address with activation instructions. Access and the associated credits will be applied

Special note

  • A personal (non-UVic) Microsoft account is required to access Azure Dev Tools for Teaching because the program is an offer established between you and Microsoft; your UVic email is only used to verify your eligibility.
