How to install Echo360 Capture for Windows

Please note: Echo360 Capture for Windows has a minimum system requirement of Windows 10 or higher.

If you are on a UVic PC managed by Desktop Support Services (DSS), Echo360 Capture will be available for download in Software Centre.

  1. Navigate to the Echo360 library in your Brightspace course (found under Course Tools) and select Create and then New Capture from the dropdown menu.  create-copy-1.png
  2. You will be redirected to an Echo360 Universal Capture launch page where you can select Windows Download to begin downloading the installer.                screenshot-of-installer.png
  3. Once the installer has downloaded, double-click the installer and follow the Echo360 Universal Capture Setup Wizard installation instructions.                            screenshot-of-installer-downloading.pngscreenshot of echo360 setup wizard
  4. Accept the license agreement and complete the installation. screenshot of echo360 license agreement
  5. You will be able to locate and launch Echo360 Universal Capture by selecting the Windows icon in the bottom-left of your screen, typing 'Echo360 Universal Capture', and selecting the application.screenshot of echo360 application in windows viewer
  6. Once Echo360 Universal Capture has launched, select 'Click here to login'. You may be redirected back to https://echo360.ca/ and to UVic Single Sign On to sign in with your NetLink ID.screenshot of echo360.ca with email field highlighted
  7. Select Open Echo360 Capture.image
