Restore a file or folder using Mac OS X

Personal home file storage

NOTE:  It is not possible to restore a home folder using Mac OSX.  You will need to use a Windows computer and follow the Windows instructions below:

1. To restore a file or folder, connect to the desired file storage using the Personal File Storage (\\home.uvic.ca\NetlinkID) or Departmental File Storage (\\[share].storage.uvic.ca\[share]).
   
   
2. Right click on the desired file or folder to be recovered and click on Restore previous versions.
   
   
3. Select the instance of the file or folder you would like to restore and click on Restore.  There are hourly backups that are sorted by date.
   
   
4. Click Restore.
   
   
5. Click OK.
