Terms and Conditions

Guests must abide by the Community Standards as outlined in the Community Guide. These terms and conditions apply to all guest stays in residence. 

  1. Check-in time is 3:00pm on the day of arrival and check-out time is 11:00am on the day of departure.  Late check-outs will be charged 1 night’s room rate.
  2. Guests must be 19 years of age or older to book and stay without supervision.
  3. Payment deposit of one night room charge and taxes is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. Full balance is due at the front desk at check-in.
  4. The registered guest responsible for the room must be at least 19 years of age and must provide a valid credit card in their name along with one piece of government issued photo identification at time of check-in. Please be advised that a credit hold in the amount $100.00 for incidental charges will be placed on the credit card.
  5. All residence space is non-smoking and non-vaping. Smoking and vaping is only permitted in designated areas on campus. A cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged, if smoking or vaping has occurred, to cover cost of cleaning and housekeeping services.
  6. Consuming or serving Cannabis or carrying unsealed Cannabis is not permitted in any areas including, but not limited to, lounges, patios, balconies, cluster walkways, elevators, washrooms, laundry rooms, hallways, stairwells, main floor foyers and any other outdoor residence space other than the designated smoking areas. Like tobacco smoke and vaping, cannabis use on campus is restricted to specific areas. See map for details.
  7. Pets of any kind are not permitted within any of guest accommodations, with the exception of a certified guide animal.
  8. Lost or unreturned keys may be subject to a fee:  $100.00 for residence rooms, and $500.00 for a cluster unit.
  9. Visitors to the University of Victoria must display a valid parking permit.  Permits are obtained from dispensers.
  10. Guests (and chaperones of minors), are responsible for any and all damages to, and loss of, University of Victoria property.  Charges will be assessed and charged to the guest.
  11. University of Victoria Conference Services reserves the right to terminate your stay, reassign rooms, and to affect other steps for the safety and security of the Conference Services guests.
  12. Reservations can be cancelled without penalty until 48 hours prior to the arrival date. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours forfeit the deposit. Reservations are not held for guests who fail to check-in on the arrival date.
