Accessibility

The Chair in Transgender Studies strives to make our events as accessible as possible. Even though we are not in full control of all the venues we use, the following is accessibility information for events held on UVic's campus.

• Most in-person events do NOT require registration. If registration is required, it will be clearly noted.
• Most events are live streamed on Zoom. Zoom registration is required. 
• Entrance to our events are generally either free or by donation. Other options will be noted in our advertising. 
• Unless otherwise noted, all ages are welcome at our events. 
• UVic's all-gender washrooms.
• All events are wheelchair accessible. See UVic's Accessibility Map.
• Most venues on campus are lit by florescent lighting. 
• If a microphone is available in the space, we generally will use it.
• Normally, our events do not offer American Sign Language.
• Advertising for our events will note when food and drink are welcome.
• UVic is a Scent-Free space.
