The WCWI team consists of five University of Victoria professors, three dedicated full-time research engineers, four industry leading wave energy converter (WEC) developers, four ocean research companies and approximately 15 PhD and MSc students. By bringing together the skills of all these individuals and companies, WCWI is ideally positioned to develop the most detailed and accurate wave resource assessments, the highest quality numerical WEC simulation toolboxes and electrical grid integration models.
