Laboratory safety

The Laboratory Safety program provides guidance on the safe use of chemical agents in research and laboratories on campus. We provide information on proper use, storage and disposal of chemicals and other hazardous materials.

Many common hazards at different risk levels are found among research laboratories. 

Lab safety alerts serve as a learning tool for lab personnel and students to review incidents, the underlying causes, and learning outcomes to work safely within laboratories.
