- More often, public institutions are making their collections openly available. Some examples include The Cleveland Museum of Art Open Access Collection, The Newberry Library, and the New York Public Library's open access maps collection. Try including the search term "open access" when searching online for images to use.
- PurePNG - PNG images CC0 licensed for open use
- SMART - Servier Medical Art - over 3000 open access medical images
- YouTube - search for royalty-free music to use in videos
- Wikimedia Commons - collection of freely usable media images/videos etc. Check the (c) and citation info associated with each resource
