Hello,
My name is Carly Cunningham. I am the FPH Building and Operations Coordinator, within the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement. My role manages the room bookings and external rentals for the First Peoples House. Develops and oversees the implementation of FPH policies and procedures (including guidelines for all room usage, and booking procedures), and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the FPH building.

As the Director of Indigenous University Communications, I lead strategic communications that reflect Indigenous ways of knowing and being. I provide guidance on Indigenous specific strategic priorities aimed at positioning UVic as a leader in Indigenous reconciliation initiatives, research, programs, services, events and initiatives. I strive to ensure that our communications are culturally informed and reflective of the diverse Indigenous cultures represented within our UVic community and beyond.

Hello all! My name is Matthew Simpson. I am the Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator in the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement. I administer UVic’s Aboriginal Service Plan (ASP), which includes overseeing the annual budget and reporting requirements, maintaining ASP-related community and Ministry relationships, and working with IACE leadership in the coordination of Indigenous programming at the First Peoples House.

Kwe! I am Renée Livernoche and I’m the LE,NONET Experiential Learning Coordinator at the University of Victoria. Students come see me to explore culturally relevant LE,NONET community internships and research apprenticeships as well as co-op and career opportunities.
