The two-day program consisted of Thought Leaders Panels and related discussion tables that focused on university priorities and national policy issues related to the five legacy categories of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report.

Session goals

The goals of the forum include building greater understanding, from the perspectives of university leaders, faculty and their Indigenous community partners, of how to:

  1. identify lessons learned about obstacles to, and processes for, new programming that supports community objectives.
  2. work in sincere partnership with, and for the benefit of, Indigenous communities.
  3. create more collaboration across universities regionally, provincially and nationally.
