Bio

Harini is an MSc candidate in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UVic, specializing in statistical modelling for population health research and disease analytics.  Previously, she worked for the BC Public Service, conducting demographic analyses and modelling data on health system performance indicators.  

She holds an MA in Economics from UVic, with a Master's research essay that focused on the environmental impacts of carbon taxes in an overlapping generations economy.  Harini’s interests are in applying statistical methods to study issues at the intersection of health, natural resources, and the environment.
