Bio

Gregory Harder has been teaching for nearly three decades.  He was a tennis instructor through college and after graduating was an instructor and researcher in undergraduate chemistry laboratories.

Greg then became an economics teacher, something he has now done for over a decade.  He has taught lower and upper level undergraduate courses, and he was a principle designer of a writing course for SFU Economics.

Curriculum development is Greg’s primary interest, and he uses his unique multidisciplinary background to build his courses.  Recently, he took inspiration from the philosophies of tennis instruction to redesign his first year economics courses.  It is this willingness to experiment with course design that helps Greg create courses that yield success in the classroom.

Greg believes that learning should be fun and offer an appropriate level of challenge.  He teaches so that students can exercise their minds, which is integral in maintaining lifelong health.
