CEA 2024 Panel

Three UVic Economics students - Ellie Chen, Dennis Saerbeck, and Sam Shipley - travelled to the CEA 2024 conference to present their research on the improved cookstove sector. At their panel, the students shared their experiences cleaning and preparing cookstove sector data from carbon crediting agencies and offered preliminary findings using data visualization. Faculty members Colette Salemi and Abubakr Ayesh oversee this ongoing work. The whole study team thanks the Canadian Social Science and Humanities Research Council for supporting this research and covering student travel expenses.
