Throughout the year we offer a number of programs and events designed to build community on campus and connections between campus and communities.

Mini University Summer Camp
Every year IACE hosts Indigenous students grade 9-12 during the summer for a university experience.
Newsletter
IACE publishes a quarterly newsletter with news about Indigenous programs, services and events.
Indigenous Week of Welcome
Every September and January, IACE holds a series of events and activities to orient and support self-identified Indigenous students.
Week of Wellness
IACE sponsors a week of events to support students during what can be a particularly stressful time of the semester.
Indigenous Recognition Ceremony
IACE organizes a special Indigenous Recognition Ceremony (IRC) for Indigenous students in the spring and fall.
Noon Working
Noon Networking takes place on Wednesdays during the fall and winter terms from 11:30-1:00pm in the Ceremonial Hall. IACE offers students an opportunity to share lunch and connect with different UVic faculties, departments and service providers on topics such as motivation, study skills, job searches and wellness.
Crafternoons
Every Thursday from 1:00-3:00pm in the Ceremonial Hall, Indigenous students are invited to unwind and work on their crafts. This is a bring-your-own-craft event, but IACE does have some beading materials if needed.
Game Nights
Indigenous students are invited to play board games and enjoy some light snacks and refreshments in the Ceremonial Hall from 5:00-7:00pm.
Movie Nights
Come on by the Ceremonial Hall from 5:00-8:00pm for a movie, light snacks and refreshments.
Acupuncture
UVic Indigenous Student Community Acupuncture booking available by https://uvictory.ca/ November 21, December 6.
Yoga
Indigenous students are invited for free drop-in yoga sessions with Tanisha Nuttall in the Ceremonial Hall. Fall term dates: Dec 6.
