Toddler care

Toddler programs are licensed to provide care and education for toddlers 18 to 36 months of age.

Our programs place a strong emphasis on building relationships using a primary care approach. A learning through play model helps children develop social skills as they engage in a variety of activities. We encourage children to use verbal expression to develop their language and social skills, employing techniques such as modeling and paraphrasing. Our staff may also use simple "signs" to help children express their needs.

Toddlers are encouraged to be independent and active participants in dressing, diapering and feeding. Caregivers involve children in all routines and foster child-initiated activities.

Through observation and developmental expertise, our staff provides opportunities for exploration of new and challenging experiences along with familiar activities that allow for repeated successes.
