History

Printing Services has a rich and long-standing history with the university. Our goal has always been to provide the highest quality printing while making it as cost effective as possible.

Printing Services was established in 1963 solely as the printer for the dean's office. We've grown to support 8 highly-skilled full-time printing personnel.

We now offer online ordering and have upgraded to state-of-the-art, cost-efficient equipment which in turn keeps the costs low for our university.

image of our original print shop

This photograph is of our original print shop (located at Hut "Y") and was taken sometime in the mid 60's. This building is actually still standing and is located on McCoy Rd. The "huts" on campus are the last remaining buildings of the Gordon Head army camp that occupied the site of the UVic campus until the late 1950s.
