Expert on medical marijuana court decision

The following University of Victoria expert is available to media to discuss the recent Federal Court decision to strike down federal regulations preventing medical marijuana patients from growing their own cannabis.

Lynne Belle-Isle (Centre for Addictions Research of BC) is a court-recognized expert in medical marijuana policy and regulation. She is a research affiliate at CARBC and a National Programs Consultant at the Canadian AIDS Society. She can discuss how this and other medical marijuana policies affect people who use cannabis for medical purposes. She is available in Victoria until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, and all day Thursday, Feb. 25 except between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (Office: 778-433-3073 or lynnebel@uvic.ca)
