In late 2019, he founded E5 Solutions Consulting to address wasted resources, energy and water and their impact on the environment and climate change. Bob advocates that the residual materials from product production can be uplifted in value through use of innovative technologies to advance regional circular economy opportunities and helping to formalize symbiotic business relationships. He believes that the solutions for today’s economic transformation require integrating systems thinking with stakeholders collaborating to co-create solutions to complex issues on the environment and climate change. Bob likes to apply the five E framework, Economy, Environment, Education and Efficiency and Effectiveness to formulate circular solutions for his clients. He has a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Victoria and today sits as an advisor to the Masters, Industrial Ecology Program in the Engineering Department at the University of Victoria. Bob is a board member of the International Society for Industrial Ecology’s Islands Section. He was first to introduce and educate on EPR policy into the Caribbean region in 2019. Bob is also a member of the Industrial Symbiosis Section in the Society and hold membership with the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association and Operators Without Borders. He lives in Victoria British Columbia, Canada but also likes to spend time in the beautiful Okanagan.
