Taylor Marie Young

Taylor Marie is an associate with Rush Ihas Hardwick LLP, a boutique litigation firm based in Kelowna, BC. She practices civil and commercial litigation in a range of areas, including contractual and other business-related disputes, estate law, professional liability and intellectual property law. Prior to law school, she obtained her Master of Arts with the Department of Linguistics, where she learned invaluable skills in research, speech analysis and the use of language more broadly. She continues to use these skills daily in her profession.

There is no doubt that my linguistics background serves me daily as a lawyer and, especially, as a litigator. Language is always at the heart of understanding and conveying what matters to my client, to opposing counsel, and to the court.
