Academic Advising Centre for Humanities, Science and Social Sciences
The Advising Centre (University Centre A203) can advise you on declaring and planning your program, making a smooth transition from one program into another, and ensuring that you've met your graduation requirements. Advising also processes requests to study at other universities or arrange for transfer credit. Advising offers appointments to students with a CAPP report on weekday mornings at the McPherson Library ("CAPPY Hour").
After your undergraduate degree: what's next?
The Co-op and Careers office provides a variety of services to support your career development, including assistance with preparing effective graduate school applications. The Linguistics Undergraduate Advisor also provides general advice on applying to graduate school. For specific requirements and expectations, the best sources of information are the graduate programs you are applying to.
We offer several programs for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree. Students interested in applying to our MA programs in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (or to our PhD program in Linguistics) can contact our Graduate Advisor, and students interested in our Diploma in Applied Linguistics can contact our Applied Linguistics Advisor.
