Dr. Cam Owens (PhD-SFU) is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Geography. His teaching and research interests focus on the politics of environmental impact assessment and sustainable development. While much of his work focuses on the Canadian (and specifically BC) context, he is engaged in comparing how sustainability policies and actions are playing out in the American Pacific Northwest and Northern Europe. In the summer of 2015, Cam will be leading a field school studying sustainable community development in cities of Northern Europe.
