Audit a History Course

Find general information on auditing courses at UVic through Student Services

Ever thought of taking a History course just for fun?  Auditing a course is a great way to learn something new and participate in class, without having to do the assignments.  Members of the community are permitted to audit up to 3.0 units of undergraduate History courses in a session (typically two 1.5 unit courses).  We welcome all auditors to our classes as long as there is space available!

It's easy

  1. Browse our courses and choose one or more you'd like to audit.
  2. Contact or 250-721-7383 to find out if there is space available. (Please note: we may not know if a class will have space available until the week classes start.)
  3. Once you have decided what course you would like to audit, fill out an Auditor Class Entry Form and bring it along to your first class to be signed by the instructor.
  4. Take your completed form to Undergraduate Records (University Centre, main floor, A wing) and pay the auditing fee.
