Drs. McBee and Russek attend Mosqoy's appreciation gathering

On Tuesday March 29 members of the Department were invited to a Donor Appreciation Gathering with Mosqoy's founder Ashli Akins, alumna of the Department. In attendance were two graduates visiting from Perú, Adrián Jiménez Suma and Lisbeth Mónica Chávez Monge. It was a lively event where Adrián played the traditional Andean flute and Lisbeth delivered an emotional speech. It took place at the home of Vicky Husband and Patrick Pothier, long-time supporters of Mosqoy. Check out the website of this charitable Society and their amazing work promoting education and preserving traditional weaving techniques in the Peruvian Andean region.
