Description

This field school is designed to explore ways in which the Holocaust has been memorialized at various Central European historical sites, museums, and monuments and provides students with an opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of antisemitism, racism, religious intolerance, homophobia, and the stigmatization of mentally and physically disabled communities.

The program will run from May 8 to June 8, 2024, with the first week of classes taking place at the University of Victoria followed by three weeks in Central Europe. Students register for the May–August term so that they have plenty of time to complete their post-travel assignments.
