Cultural Intelligence (CQ) training supports expanded focus on EDI

In 2020 and 2021, all of Co-op and Career’s 85 staff members completed cultural intelligence training to learn how to function effectively across various cultural contexts. Twenty-three staff also completed the CQ Certified Facilitators Training and were formally certified by the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Centre.

These staff members are applying this new knowledge in their everyday practice and through participation in two committees: the CQ Curriculum Committee, which is working to refresh Co-op and Career’s existing intercultural competency curriculum, and the CQ Integration Committee, which is identifying opportunities to build a culture of CQ across our programs.

CQ provides a lens to better understand and engage with equity, diversity and inclusion priorities.
