Stroop - Victoria Modification (Regard, 1981)

This test measures cognitive flexibility, gauged by the subject's effectiveness is processing material as task demands increase over three successive trials. Three stimulus cards are presented sequentially (1) colored dots, (2) common words printed in same colors as dots, and (3) color words printed in non-corresponding colors of ink. For the first card, subjects are asked to simply name the color of each dot, from left to right, for each of the successive rows. For the second card, subjects are asked to identify the color of ink each word is printed in, not to identify the word itself. For the final card, the subject is asked to identify the color of ink each of the color words is printed in, not to identify or read the color word presented. Number of errors and time to perform the task are recorded for each trial.

A complete test package includes: manual of instruction, 3 stimulus cards (1 card of each type) and 20 recording sheets.
