Above and Beyond Awards

Nominations are open for staff, faculty and students who go above and beyond.

The Above and Beyond Awards celebrate individuals or teams of faculty, staff, and students in the Faculty of Social Sciences who have gone above and beyond their role in contributing to the campus community at the University of Victoria or the wider community.

Nominations for the Above and Beyond Awards may be submitted at any time, and recipients of the awards will be recognized twice a year – in November and April.

 Nominations

Above and Beyond Awards may be granted to individuals or teams of faculty, staff, and/or students, the primary nominee of which must be based in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Victoria. Award nominees should contribute to at least one of the following criteria:

• Has made a significant or creative contribution to the campus community or the wider community by going above and beyond their role; or
• Has received significant external awards for scholarship, learning, teaching, research, or community contributions.

To submit a nomination for an Above and Beyond Award, please fill out the Nomination Form, which includes a short summary of why the nominee is deserving of the award (200 words max). Additional supporting evidence (e.g. letters of support) may be submitted but is not required.
