I am pleased to be part of the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement as their Receptionist! The opportunity to meet our future Indigenous leaders on their educational journey is a tremendous privilege for me.

I worked with our Indigenous community for 15 years in the housing sector. I studied Aboriginal Healthcare Management at UBC which gave me insight into the health challenges our communities face. In the distant past, I also studied Fashion Design and Clothing Technology and have an Associate's Degree in this field. I set fashion design aside to work in an office and discovered I enjoyed office work.

I grew up in Opitsaht, which is across from Tofino, of Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations. I come from the Masso and Frank family. My late mother comes from a Chief’s family on the Frank side. I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters, with many cousins on both sides of my family tree.

I look forward to welcoming and supporting our Indigenous students, staff/facility, families and community when they visit the First Peoples House.
