Angela Johnson

Angela worked at SSR Mining Inc. (formerly Silver Standard Resources) for seven years, first as an exploration geologist and now in the Environment and Community Relations department developing their inaugural Sustainability Report while pursuing MBA studies. Angela is also Chair of AME’s (Association of Mineral Exploration) Integrated Social Responsibility Committee.

As a grad student, I was fortunate to study at one of the leading laboratories in experimental petrology with Dr. Dante Canil. Being a TA for undergraduate labs and field trips was a highlight of my time as a grad student, and the grad and undergrad students during the years I was at UVic are still a huge part of my career network.
