Tyra Cockney-Goose wins national STEAM Horizon Award

Congratulations to Mathematics & Statistics student Tyra Cockney-Goose who has won the prestigious national STEAM Horizon award.

Cockney-Goose is the first Inuk to win the award and the only female winner this year.

The award comes with a $25,000 scholarship and is meant to promote the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and design and mathematics.

Award winners have a passion for their chosen field and have used their passion to positively impact their communities.
