Cassidy received an offer to join the R&D group at Seastar prior to graduation and started working with them two weeks after her last exam. Her group works on synthesizing new organometallic complexes for semiconductor applications.
The R&D team delivers innovative solutions to the high purity acid and semiconductor thin film deposition markets. They create value for customers by modifying existing products, discovering new solutions, or creating efficiencies through process improvement. Her team works closely with a wide range of industry stakeholders. Our partners include tool manufacturers, chemical distributors, research institutes, universities, and end users.
UVic gave me the opportunity to discover my passion for chemistry and my degree provided the foundation to become a part of this spectacular, intriguing field.
