David Dilworth

As a postdoctoral fellow at the SGC Toronto, David works within a network of academic and industry scientists to answer fundamental questions in human cell and molecular biology. Through his research, David aims to broaden knowledge of the molecules that define life in the hopes that this knowledge can one day be applied in the treatment of human disease.

The department of Biochemistry & Microbiology at UVic is home to a vibrant and diverse set of research programs, ranging from the study of bacterial pathogens to the biology of cancer. As a PhD student, I benefited immensely from exposure to the ideas and concepts that come from such a broad spectrum of life sciences.
