Fellow of ASME, Dr. Gongnan Xie’s main research includes supercritical fluids heat transfer and energy systems, micro/nano flows and cooling, heat exchangers and renewable energy, gas turbines heat transfer and cooling, by means of CFD simulations, experimental investigations, optimization methods and AI models. He is a Full Professor at the School of Marine Science and Technology in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China.
He is currently an Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow and an Editor for International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer. He served as an Associate Editor for ASME J. Heat Transfer and ASME J. Energy Resources technology.
From September 2023, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Integrated Energy Systems in the University of Victoria, Canada.
