Organic synthetic chemistry
Grace completed her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Calgary majoring in Chemistry. During her undergraduate degree, she completed 3 research projects all focused in organic synthetic chemistry. Two projects focused on catalysis, while the other focused on synthesizing a molecule to be used in organic electronics.
Grace started her Master’s of Chemistry under Dr. Heather Buckley in September of 2020. Her project is focusing on the synthesis of macromolecules to be used to prevent biofilm growth on surfaces. This is a collaborative project with the Wulff group at UVic.
In her free time, Grace enjoys rock climbing, running, and exploring the mountains.
