Krishna Ravi
Position
PhD student
Mechanical Engineering
Credentials

BTech (Vellore Institute of Technology), MS (Oklahoma State University)

Area of expertise

Turbulent and multiphase flows, fluid dynamics, parallel computing

Krishna obtained his Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2010. The research was focused on numerically modeling particulate flow in a backward facing step with porous medium.

After his Masters he joined IESVic in January 2011 and started pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Ned Djilali and Dr. Peter Oshkai. His research is part of the Hydrogen Canada Network (H2CAN) to investigate safety issues regarding sudden hydrogen leakage. The goal of the research project is to develop experimental data and computational models towards the understanding the physics of hydrogen dispersion.

Krishna spends his free time cooking, photography, and badminton.
