Mohammad Rahnama
Position
Visiting researcher
Credentials

BSc (Shiraz University, Iran), MSc (Isfahan University of Technology, Iran), PhD (Shiraz University, Iran)

Area of expertise

Computational fluid dynamics; solar energy

Dr. Rahnama received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Shiraz University, Iran in year 1996, while he had 8 years experiences as a faculty member at Shiahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran. After graduation, he came back to Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran working there for another 16 years, involved in teaching and doing reseach in turbulent flow, solar energy and computational fluid dynamics. Recently, he focused on Lattice Boltzmann Modelling of fluid flow and heat transfer, working with his PhD and MS students on its various applications such as mico-channel flows, two-phase and particulate flow simulation. Dr. Rahnama is working with IESVic on computational modelling of contact resistance in PEM fuel cells.
