Pierre Iachetti

Pierre Iachetti is a PhD student in civil engineering where his research focuses on energy systems modelling and simulations with an emphasis on the integration of renewable energy. Pierre is interested in using open-source models and GIS tools to accomplish his research goals. Along with being in IESVic, Pierre is based in the Energy Systems and Sustainable Cities group which is led by his doctoral supervisor Dr. Ralph Evins, and the Sustainable Systems Design Lab led by his doctoral co-supervisor, Dr. Curran Crawford. Before coming to the University of Victoria, Pierre started his PhD in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Trento in Trento, Italy and held a fellowship at Eurac Research in the Institute for Renewable Energy in Bolzano, Italy.
