Credentials

BSc (K.N.Toosi University), MSc (University of Tehran)

Area of expertise

Air pollution modeling, atmospheric modeling, urban models, climate change impacts

Forood started pursuing environmental engineering at the University of Tehran in the air pollution field after finishing his BSc. in civil engineering.

His studies and research during his Master's thesis focused on air pollution reduction strategies using the state-of-the-art WRF-SMOKE-CMAQ. His Master's thesis was about estimating the impact of different vehicle fleet scenarios on air pollution reduction in the air quality of Tehran using the WRF-SMOKE-CMAQ model.

His current main research interests involve air pollution modeling (understanding of the different mechanism in air pollution modeling, aerosol impact on meteorology parameters and climate/microclimate, etc.), satellite image processing, urban areas, and climate change impacts and mitigation strategies.
