Jordan Stanger-Ross is professor of history and Provost’s Engaged Scholar at the University of Victoria. In 2022, he received an Impact Award from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada for a decade of collaborative and community-engaged research on the dispossession of Japanese Canadians in the 1940s. Along with Audrey Kobayashi (Queen’s University), he currently leads Past Wrongs, Future Choices, a partnership on the violation of the rights of civilians of Japanese descent in countries across the Americas and the Pacific.
