Lewis Williams, Ngai Te Rangi is originally from Aotearoa. She is an Associate Professor, (Community Health), University of Southern Queensland, Australia and the Founding Director of KIN (Koru International Network www.kinincommon.com) an emerging community of practice whose aim is to address ecological issues through the revitalization of indigenous wisdoms in all cultures.

She is an Executive Board member of the Society for Human Ecology and Canadian Peace Research Association. Lewis was the lead author or Radical Human Ecology: Intercultural and Indigenous approaches and was initiator of the Radical Human Ecology Dialogues held across Canada 2012-13. She was previously an Associate Professor, Native Studies, and Director of the Prairie Region Health Promotion Research Centre, University of Saskatchewan.

Lewis’ scholarship and community engagement work span a number of areas including Indigenous and cultural studies; cultural-ecology and globalization; socio-ecological resilience; and social innovation.
