Johnathan van Harmelen was a CFGS- PWFC Visiting Graduate Fellow and is currently a Ph.D candidate in History at University of California, Santa Cruz, where he is writing his dissertation on the role of the U.S. Congress in the wartime incarceration of Japanese Americans. While with CFGS, he was a part of the Past Wrongs, Future Choices project where he worked on an international study of media reports examining the wartime incarcerations of individuals of Japanese ancestry in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.
