Past Wrongs, Future Choices
Masumi Izumi was a CFGS - PWFC Visiting Faculty Fellow from Doshisha University. There, she is a professor of North American Studies at the Department of Global and Regional Studies. While at the centre, she was also a member of the Past Wrongs, Future Choices project where she examined the racial persecution of diasporic Japanese population during World War II and their reactions to reinterpret notions such as “citizenship” and “nationalism” as transnational concepts.
