Mabel Martinez-Dussan

As Events and Special Projects Coordinator at the POLIS Water Sustainability Project, Mabel is primarily responsible for supporting and developing the B.C. Water Leaders’ Network, organizing the Watersheds 2020 forum, and providing research assistance.

Mabel has close to 10 years of experience working in the environmental and natural resource sector in Colombia, where she worked across multiple development projects. Her background includes environmental assessment, permitting and compliance, and regulatory and policy analysis. She is currently completing the Diploma in Business Administration program at the University of Victoria, in addition to her Master of Science in Environmental Management and bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from Colombia.

Mabel enjoys facilitating processes where actors identify areas of mutual interest and engage to move forward to comprehensive and practical solutions.
