Program Assistant with National Domestic Workers Movement in Chennai, India
Harrison Ellis is pursing an undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of Victoria (UVic). He has previously interned with Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA), one of CAPI’s partner organizations. He has decided to complete a second placement with the National Domestic Workers Movement (NDWM), a community-based grassroots organization in Chennai, India that provides support for migrant domestic workers while engaging in policy-advocacy work with governmental bodies. Harrison is interested in human rights in the contexts of gender, labour, and migration and is excited for the opportunity to continue to work and learn in this field.
