Danae Zachari is currently working towards her BA in Sociology with a self-directed interdisciplinary minor in Global Development Studies, at the University of Victoria. She has a strong interest in social and environmental justice, as well as in examining the relationship between social and environmental issues. Danae is especially interested in migrant and refugee rights, bottom-up approaches to development, decentralized planning, health and education. Danae will be working with the Malaysian Social Research Institute (MSRI) in Kuala Lumpur. She is looking forward to this great opportunity offered by CAPI and MSRI.
