Leanne Perera

Leanne holds a master’s degree in globalization and international development from the University of Ottawa. Her graduate research explored the collaborative role of civil society in improving the living and working conditions of migrant farm workers in the Niagara region.  She recently co-authored a report for the Institute for Research on Public Policy called “Temporary of Transitional? Migrant Workers’ Experiences with Permanent Residence in Canada”. Prior to participation in this internship, Leanne worked as a policy analyst on the temporary foreign worker program and policy at Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
