Elena is a Master’s of Arts student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria. She is an alumnus of CAPI’s internship program, which encouraged her interest in labour migration and the Asia-Pacific region. This summer, she will be doing research on transnational advocacy networks and union organizing projects involving migrant workers in the construction sector, with the support of Building and Wood Workers' International. She will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
